The Yamaha YSP-2200 ($999.99) digital utter projector and soundbar speaker system offers amplified stereo be set for an HDTV in a small living room or den. The YSP-2200 is a 2.1-stream-bed soundbar with a companion wireless subwoofer. The main demagogue measures 3.2 by 37.2 by 5.3 inches (HWD), while the subwoofer measures 17.1 by 5.4 by 14.3 inches (HWD). The energy speaker is also height adjustable, with a range of only under half an inch. Like all soundbars, the YSP-2200 won't promulgate audiophile-quality performance, as it lacks the stereo disjunction, higher-quality drivers, and larger cabinets high-priority for proper imaging and resolution. That said, higher-end soundbars like the YSP-2200 do a convincing job of making audio valid bigger and bolder, with more bass rumble, than you'd get from built-in TV speakers—much like how an iPod lecturer dock works, except for home theater sound instead of only just music. The YSP-2200's 132-watt, 2.1-strait amplifier is reasonably powerful, and Yamaha includes numerous support for numerous understood speaker configurations (up to 7.1 channels) and 11 cinema DSP modes. The YSP-2200 also features yAired, which is Yamaha's system for streaming audio wirelessly from an iPhone or iPod. We haven't tested the YSP-2200. We did study the considerably less expensive Vizio VHT510 Atmosphere Sound Home Theater With Wireless Subwoofer ($389.99), which offers a more household surround sound experience thanks to its two wireless care for speakers. It performed well in our tests, with surprisingly stalwart bass response. With the Yamaha YSP-2200, we'd upon more dynamic range, plus clearer dialog that anchors superior to each person's location on screen.
