Can I connect a TV that has a DVI input to an HD source by using a DVI-HDMI adapter?

I have an older produce-projection TV that has a DVI input, but no HDMI inputs. The documentation says it is gifted of displaying 1080i. Can I use it to display an HD commencement that has an HDMI output by using an HDMI cable with a DVI-HDMI adapter

It should vocation. There is a tiny chance your tv is DVI-Analog only but i question it. Hopefully your old tv is not too old...
