Got a PS3 80GB,and a Bose V30 home theater.HDMI is used.which option better for audio output PCM or Bitstream?
When choosing Bitstream, I can only see Dolby Digital MULTI Narrows, but in the media console of the BOSE, the screen will show DOLBY DIGITAL 5.1.As for Linear PCM, u can on,between TRUE HD,and Dolby 5.1. Can anyone apprise please?
Assuming the Bose system can operate audio via HDMI you should have the PS3 audio productivity to PCM. Otherwise set it to bitstream. The original PS3 can't bitstream HD audio codecs (Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD MA) so you have no other election but to
You should settle upon Linear PCM for DTS-HD MA, Dolby True HD and uncompressed PCM cacophony decoded by PS3 when you play Blu-ray movies.
