Considering the popularity of the Blu Ray for HD Movies which made the HD-DVD pass, it’s unsurprising that it would be used for a next gen console from Microsoft, bringing it inline with the disc storage competence of the PS3. Hopefully this will end the need for multi-disc stand by since a Blu Ray disc can hold up to 50GB of data compared to the 8GB of known DVD’s used for Xbox 360 gaming. Using a known, well-familiar format is a good move, and more so that Xbox 360 players who only second-hand their PS3 as cheap Blu Ray Players can now be rid of them forever…
