Yes, I recall the “Sherlock Holmes versus the Nazis” movies–not definitely Holmes’s finest hour. Always liked how without a hitch Holmes’s cocaine addiction was slipped in to the end of “The Browbeat of the Baskervilles” (“Watson! The needle!”) I like Basil Rathbone & Nigel Bruce as Holmes & Watson–and for many years they WERE the final translation; but I contemplate the overdue Jeremy Brett must be considered the Holmes interpreter for the boomer fathering.
