Why does Sony Home Entertainment release a lot of Blu-Ray movies?

It seems like a lot of Blu-rays are released through Sony Adroit in entertainment. Is this because they would rather have sony Release them and not pay them licensing fees or is it because it's cheaper this way because sony has more muscle?

Uh no...its because Sony invented Blu-Ray technology. Hence, they wish for to produce as many titles as possible for you to see so the consumers will go out and by a Sony Blu-Ray gambler to watch them on.
